what do Scouts do?

The 1st Southwold Cubs have recently been in touch with Scout Groups around the world by means of amatuer radio. Thanks to the members of the Leiston Amatuer Radio Society who recently spent the weekend setting up their equipment at our Scout Hall so that our Cubs and Scouts could experience the magic of the radio waves. This event is called Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) and helps our youngster towards their communications badge.

This week our cubs were at St Edmund's church being put through their paces by the church bellringing team. They also had a chance to climb to the top of the tower to see the bells.
